Carrier Wales expands to meet growing demand
A NORTH Wales IT company has taken on new staff to meet growing demand for customers seeking services delivered over the FibreSpeed network.
Welsh‐speaker Nikki Owen is one of two new faces at Carrier Wales and will be based at the firm’s new Bangor office at Parc Menai to provide account management support.
Nikki, who hails from Anglesey, previously worked for BT Local Business and specialised in calls and lines.
She said: “It’s exciting to be working for a company operating in the cutting‐edge field of next‐ generation digital communications, technology that can change the way people do business.
“My role will be to help Carrier Wales deliver solutions tailored to customers’ needs and provide high standards of day‐to‐day account management.
” The company has also taken on a connectivity and security expert to provide cutting‐edge CCTV and surveillance systems that use IP network technology.
Carrier Wales, recently voted by FibreSpeed as its Service Provider of the Year, has connected a number of businesses to the network, ranging in size from 30 employees to more than 1,500.
They include a renewable energy company based in Mold, a financial data analyst in Wrexham, and a business financial services provider, Anchor Computers Systems Ltd, on Parc Menai.
Through FibreSpeed, Carrier Wales provides businesses with dedicated (sole‐use) connectivity, offering high‐speed Internet from 10Mbps to 10Gbps.
The cost‐effective service enables businesses to change the way they use IT, from hardware infrastructure to the deployment of software for employees, making them more efficient and productive, and therefore more competitive.
